SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a national organization with 389 Chapters and 11,500 volunteer members. SCORE Chapters/members provides business counseling, review of business plans and financials, and workshops for the purpose of developing small business. Business counseling services are offered at no fee as a community service.

Greater Binghamton, New York Chapter 217 of SCORE is part of the national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation's small businesses. SCORE volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business."

Greater Binghamton SCORE provides free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business and your personal objectives.  We also offer workshops, for a modest fee, for both startup entrepreneurs and in-business small business owners. 

SCORE volunteers are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge who donate thousands of hours to help small businesses succeed. Counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, engineering, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation. 

The Greater Binghamton Chapter is composed of more than 48 volunteers that provide guidance and counseling to entrepreneurs in Broome, Tioga, Otsego, Delaware and Chenango counties of New York along with Susquehanna County of Pennsylvania.  We maintain branches of SCORE in Owego, Oneonta and Norwich, New York and Montrose, Pennsylvania. 

A major goal for the coming year is to develop the SCORE Otsego County/Oneonta Branch. This Branch will provide SCORE services to Otsego and Delaware Counties.
